Yu Noodles Damansara Uptown

The shop is located amongst many shops. Not easy to see spot at a glance unless you know what you are looking for else try to look for the 2 huge red Chinese lanterns hanging outside their shop.

They will greet you well and seat you. Almost like self service order as you need to write down your own order on a slip of paper. Then call them to key in your order.

What’s the menu. They have rice vermicelli noodles comes with 2 sizes of noodles. The thick which is called “Mee Xian” and the thin like the normal vermicelli. The thick noodle looks like asam laksa noodle but not transparent. Next, pick your soup base. You can have plain clear broth or Tom Yam.

Tom Yum Fu Zhou Fish Ball Noodle. RM15.90. Tom Yam is the spicy and sour soup base. Few pieces of Chinese lettuce along with the Fu Zhou Fishball (Bursting Meatball Fishball) means fishball wrapped with meat inside. There is a reason why they call it bursting meatball. Beware, when you bite it, the juice will burst out and might burn your mouth. The taste of the meat inside wrapped with the fish ball was delicious. It has a nice fragrant and taste, I can’t describe what taste it is probably a mixture of sesame oil and some other condiments.

Another order is the noodles with clear soup and pork ball.RM9.50. If you feel the clear broth is abit boring, you may add some Chinese wine. The bottle is placed on your table. Pour at your own risk. Since we are here, no harm done adding another plate of deep fried squid ball. RM12.50. Nice orange golden squid ball. Delicious!

After all the spicy and sour soup. Time to clear off with a cup Honey Chrysanthemum RM3.20. If what I mentioned above here not to your liking. They have other things on the menu such as pork slice,  japanese scallops. clams, prawn, dumplings.

New Japanese Banquet Hall – New Taipei Taiwan 新日式宴會館

Fried rice top with a piece of salmon, having sides dishes of pink ginger and marinated daikon (white radish).

Unagi set, grilled eel with rice and here served with lime instead of slice of lemon, just in case you would feel alittle fishy but usually it won’t.

Soft shell crab, this will never go wrong anywhere in the world.

Finale, ice cream as dessert.

In a Japanese restaurant, you can never miss the sushi bar and their multiple sake display.

Look at their ultimate stylo coffee process. Its call the yama cold brew drip tower. Its name says it all. It is cold, water with coffee grounds and let them drip all day long. Sounds like a super slow process. Come let us have a drink. Sake or coffee? Cheers!

Bacon and Brew, Damansara Uptown

This place is not on the ground floor. Going up 1 floor. Nice and cozy place if you like dark ambience.

BBBB = Bacon and Brew Big Breakfast which comes with a piece of bread, 2 slices of smoky bacon, 2 pork sausage, sautéed mushroom, scramble egg and ratatouille (RM25).

Creamy Bacon Carbonara (RM23.90). Just as it is, pasta with cheese, topped with bacon and egg. Hey they comes with a some flower too. At least this page I am able to see big strips of bacon.

Unfortunately, I have quite an appetite, portion here is just enough for 1 person, can’t share with anyone or kids.
